A multi national company supplying shaft seal & bearing seal solutions to automotive, based in the U.K., & Europe with partnership production in the far east.
Scenario
The customer used their Far Eastern partners for design and development of new automotive products, supplying into world markets.
The products was very highly specified, production methods and tooling was designed and developed by the Far East with the product being supplied into the U.K.
When the production processes were proven (usually over 6 months), our customer then had to find a local European source for supply.
We first established our competitiveness then we took on the task of designing and manufacturing bespoke tooling to replicate the original insert, the tooling was part funded by Q.E.P. and delivered product at significantly reduced costs, thereby giving our customer competitive edge in the marketplace.
